The Sitecore Solution Developer 10 course is designed for developers with advanced C# skills who are working on a project where Sitecore is used as a content management system.

Description

This course helps you take the next step in your Sitecore development learning. Starting with the topic of containers in Sitecore, the training proceeds through additional concepts for development such as multi-site implementation, presentation layout development, using standard and dynamic placeholders, creating Sitecore MVC view and controller rendering components, and using rendering parameters. Additional topics covered include working with complex field data and managing content security by establishing user and role access and permissions. This course provides you with hands-on experience to practice the concepts covered in the materials in a live Sitecore environment deployed in a VM.

  • Navigate a Sitecore environment deployed on Docker-based containers. 
  • Componentize a sample website page. 
  • Create components and renderings using Sitecore MVC principles. 
  • Support content creation for business users through component reusability.

Prerequisites

To participate in the Sitecore Solution Developer 10 course, you must first complete the Sitecore Developer Fundamentals 10 Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course or complete the Developer's Fundamentals 9.3 eLearning collection. You should have at least one year of experience building ASP.NET MVC web applications, an understanding of C#, and some familiarity with container-based deployments and Docker.

Setup requirements

Each attendee will need a computer with internet connectivity. For this training, we will use an online virtual machine.
